Ocean Visual FX and RUDE DAWG PRODUCTIONS have officially announced, the development of their first all 3D animated television series, "ROCK DAWGZ™". Created by legendary heavy metal bassist Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot Whitesnake and Dio).
The series tells the story of a struggling 80's hair band, consisting of all Dogs in an all animal world. Lured by elusive dreams of fortune and fame, Seth, Tooka, Jack, Rokki and Elvis the Third travel from near and far to the rock and roll Mecca, the Sunset Strip. Soon after these motley misfits form the hottest band on the Strip, ROCK DAWGZ. With each episode they learn that what really matters on the way to the top is each other's unconditional love and commitment as they foil their musical arch rivals' dirty deeds.
Appearing in the role of the ROCK DAWGZ™ manager, a sassy Chihuahua named Chichi is none other than cultural icon Charo and voice and musical contributions by heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio and Simon Wright (Dio, UFO & ACDC) the series is now in pre-production.
Robert DiNozzi (Flightplan, Behind the Red Door, Sealand, Killing Time, The Offer and The Art of Loosing) is on board as a consultant. The series is being co-developed by Rudy Sarzo and Robbie Robfogel, under the "RUDE DAWG PRODUCTIONS" name.
A fully 3D animated series is a major undertaking in today's animation market. Ocean Visual FX brings with it the talent, tools and pipeline to make this show a reality. With secured partnerships with Newtek (Lightwave 3D) and BOXX Technologies, the new production entity is forging ahead with a 5 minute teaser-trailer that will appear on various websites soon.
